Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus Guide

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (PS2)

Where is the options page?

The player options page for this game contains all the options you need to configure and export a config file.

What does randomization do to this game?

Episode access is changed from linear to whenever each "episode unlock" item is received, leading to a usually shuffled order of episodes. The goal is always to defeat Clockwerk, but access to his episode can be set to be either based on number other bosses beaten, or by collecting an arbitrary number of Thievius Raccoonus pages.

What items and locations get shuffled?

Items include 28 keys, all clue bottles, 19 master thief moves, and episode unlock items. You can also be sent filler 1-ups and charms, or various traps. Locations are based on the above, and additional locations are enable-able in the YAML, such as including master thief sprints (hourglasses) or adding additional locations that get checked when completing minigame levels. This randomizer will also create additional "Key Cache" locations if there are not enough locations to hold required items.

Which items can be in another player's world?

Any of the items which can be shuffled may also be placed into another player's world. It is possible to choose to limit certain items to your own world.

When the player receives an item, what happens?

You will be able to use the master thief move or open any gate with any keys that you receive. Murray will always be moved in front of Cold Heart of Hate so you can view any episode, but access will be restricted until each respective episode unlock item is found, at which point that episode's intro level will be playable. You may need to switch view to a different episode if you receive the episode item while viewing said episode.
